Reviewed by Fraser MacBride, University of Manchester This is an introductory textbook in the philosophy of mathematics. It is intended for advanced undergraduates and graduate students in philosophy as well as mathematicians and others interested in the foundations of mathematics. Is it a good book? Well that all depends upon what standards you apply. I'll return to this (far from trivial) issue shortly. But before I do, you'll need to have a sense of what's between the covers.
