Stark, Bates College The last 60 years has seen a resurgence of interest in virtue theory, especially by philosophers, psychologists, and theologians. For some of that time, each discipline worked in isolation. But recently, these disciplines have been listening and talking to one another; the result is an emerging view of virtue that is empirically informed as well as philosophically and theologically relevant. But even during this time of increased collaboration, still the idea of developing the virtues has been overlooked. This interdisciplinary volume begins to fill this gap.
