The APA committee on Hispanics sponsors the annual essay prize in Latin American thought, which is awarded to the author of the best unpublished, English-language, philosophical essay in Latin American thought. The purpose of this prize is to encourage fruitful work in Latin American thought. Eligible essays must contain original arguments and broach philosophical topics clearly related to the specific experiences of Hispanic Americans and Latinos. The winning essay will be published in the APA Newsletter on Hispanic/Latino Issues in Philosophy.
